The former president's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut
The rising star has substantial social media audience
Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent backers as she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses multiple golf courses and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she revealed.
She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, advised her: "Just stay calm."
"He practically told me to play and enjoy myself," she added.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, making him rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments this year and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
Yet she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He represents the best player worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to go out there, have fun, and go with the flow."
Kai will face some of the biggest names in professional golf at this tournament, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials stated that Kai's presence exposes golf to wider groups, particularly with the next generation.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and recently launched her own fashion and living label.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
