Nearly Ninety Air Travels Linked to Epstein Allegedly Arrived at or Departed from British Airports
A review has uncovered that nearly 90 aircraft journeys linked to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly arrived at and departed from British airports, with some reportedly carrying British women who assert they were abused by the found guilty child sex offender.
Flight Logs Show Pattern of Travel
The travel manifests were part of a trove of legal papers and papers released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been released over the previous twelve months. The investigation identified 87 flights linked to Epstein – encompassing many that were previously unknown – landing or taking off from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and Post-Conviction Travel
Unnamed “females” were listed among the individuals flying to and from the UK. Significantly, 15 of these UK flights took place after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a underage person.
“This is ‘appalling’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his activities in the country,” remarked US lawyers acting for numerous Epstein victims.
British Victims and Court Cases
A statement from one of the UK-based survivors was instrumental in convicting Epstein’s accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. But, that survivor has never been contacted by British law enforcement, according to her attorney based in Florida.
In a response, the London's Metropolitan Police indicated they had “not been provided with any additional information that would support restarting the investigation.” They noted, “If fresh and pertinent information be presented to us, encompassing any resulting from the release of material in the US, we will assess it.”
Ongoing Document Release and Legal Rulings
A bill to disclose every document held by the American government in concerning Epstein was approved by the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. Hundreds of thousands of files are anticipated to be made public.
Separately, a US judge decided last week that the DOJ could publicly release case files from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the charges.
