Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft landed following standard protocol and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," an official representative said in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This event is not the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has experienced equipment failures.
Months ago, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington after suffering a mechanical fault.
