David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The author

Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

A spokesman for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.

The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Highly Successful Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

From Screen to Page

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
